The Chinese Visual Festival will return for its 10th edition next month, it has been confirmed.

The event, which is the only film festival in the UK dedicated to the cinema of the Chinese language-speaking world, will be held in London between July 15 to 25 at BFI Southbank and Genesis Cinema.

Opening with the UK Premiere of Drifting, the new film from acclaimed director Jun Li, the festival will showcase everything from the queer Shakespeare reworking As We Like It to the high-energy political horror satire Get the Hell Out, and will close with the UK Premiere of the thriller Shadows - hailed as one of the best Hong Kong films of the last year.

In total, there will be eight films screened including documentaries, independent fiction, LGBTQ cinema and more.

Tickets for the 2021 Chinese Visual Festival are on sale now. More details and the full festival schedule can be found online.
