Borderlines Film Festival 2021 Kicks Off Tomorrow
The Borderlines Film Festival will begin tomorrow, showcasing the best of independent cinema from across the world.
Now in its 19th year, this is the first time the popular event will take place online, with tickets available to film fans across the country.
In a packed schedule that will last from Friday, March 26 to Sunday, April 11, Borderlines will offer British audiences the chance to check out some of the most talked about films currently on the circuit.
This includes Lee Isaac Chung's Minari, which has already picked up the Foreign Language Film Award at this year's Golden Globes and has been nominated for a further six awards at the Oscars.
Among the rest of the programme are the likes of powerful drama The Father, featuring stunning performances from Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman, and First Cow, a fresh take on the western genre from esteemed director Kelly Reichardt.
Festival Director Naomi Vera-Sanso said: "While we will miss the sociability and interaction that the Festival normally brings, drawing audiences across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Malvern and the Welsh borders together to enjoy a feast of the best independent cinema from across the world, we are looking forward to widening our reach to audiences from across the UK."
